Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA)

Beta Alpha Psi gives income tax assistance to students and the community and electronically files your tax return for free. Members will gain experience by applying their knowledge of taxes while working with real clients. Every tax return is reviewed for accuracy. This is a great opportunity for service learning.  Thanks to Professor Alan Davis for making this program possible.

**Spring 2009 tax return information will be posted as soon as the information becomes available

A few reminders

First of all, just like in previous years, we operate our site on a first come, first serve basis.  The earlier you come to our site, the faster we can serve you.  Our site has the resources to serve international students. Also don't forget to bring the following when filing your tax return:

What you need:

In order for us to file your taxes please bring:

  • Valid Picture ID

  • Copies of ALL W-2, 1099 Forms, and proof of other income received by you and your spouse

  • Social Security card for you and your spouse; social security numbers and birthdates for all dependents.

  • Spouse must be present for filing

  • Students - remember to find out if someone else can claim you on his/her tax return (parent or guardian).

If you can find a copy of your tax return from last year, we suggest that you bring it with you.  Also if you want to direct deposit a refund, please bring your routing/bank account number.
